On people within the United States who want to blame America for the world's problems.

There is a large section of Americans who believe, to one degree or another, that the
United States is the cause of the world's problems. Either they blame the Government
itself, or in combination with large corporations. These people may be in or out of elected
office, but they are vocal in their beliefs. They are not a majority of the people. They are
not "anti-American" in the sense that Joe McCarthy accused people of. They do not want
the downfall of the American Republic. What they want is the creation of a socialist
system modeled on Europe.

These people have acceded to the statist mentality and are unaware, in general, of
history. Particularly the history of those who immigrated here wanting to get away from
the statist mentality which exists outside of the United States. These people want the
United States to become exactly what most of us worked so hard not to be.

The United States is not the cause of the world's problems, but the bringer of freedom
and liberty and a better way of thinking to every corner of the globe. And the world is
fighting us all the way. The world's nations and cultures are hundreds and thousands of
years old. We are barely 240 years old as a nation. There is no way that we created or
caused the conditions in South America, Africa or Asia, or even in Europe. And recent
history has shown that the United States has provided enormous help and hope to all the
world's nations and cultures.

We have not done so without mistakes, or problems, and even misunderstanding. Nor
have we done it with the smoothest of diplomacy. But we have brought the vast
majority of people around the world around to the idea of individual freedom. They might
not understand the entire concept, but it's the only thing people the world over are
talking about.
