Charles Javurek was the brother of Josef Javurek. Even though Josef came to America, Charles stayed behind
in Prague. Thus, he and his progeny had to withstand the onslaught of the Nazis and the Communists. Too
bad, really. For those were not pretty times that lasted for 70 years or so (1938 to 1989.) He had three kids:
Charles Jr, Milina and Dasa. Dasa married Milos Gottwald, and it is their kids we maintain the closest relationship.
I have visited them, staying at their house, twice now, for extended periods. (70 days in 2006, 20 days in
2008.) Milina married Dr. Jan Klima, who speaks a limited but passable English. And Charles married a woman
named Dasa. From these come a slew of other relatives, which list I am trying to put together at the moment.
Among them, though, are Charles III (Sort of Kingly, but why not?) and Dasa, and Klarka, Filip, Ondrej, Milos,
and more.
