Ludmila Kaplan comes from Frydek-Mistek in Eastern Moravia, but it is also possible that her parents are from Kutna Hora
but wound up in F-M -- no earthly clue as to why, but we do know that when Ludmila went back to Europe in 1913 she
visited relatives in Kutna Hora -- we have photos of them. But her cousins were those that were out in Frydek. And they
are cousins, for Ludmila came with her mother, after her father and her older brothers had already come to America. The
reality was that the whole immediate family came over on different trips, and eventually all wound up in Killington
Connecticut where they owned the local grist mill. There are plenty of Kaplan family members around America

There was Ladislav and Barbara, -- Ladislav Kaplan had no kids.

Otto Kaplan had kids, and his claim to fame is the invention of the Kaplan Music String Machine, who process is still used
today to make violin and viola strings. The Kaplan Music String Company was bought by D'adarrio Music company in
Farmingdale Long Island.

I still have to pull together this side of the family.
We had long been in touch with the Czech cousins, who were the kids of Ludmila's mother's sister.
And well, this will have to wait.
