And here's your's
truly high up on Ice
Box Hill with a view
of the islands, and
in the distance
towards the right is
the Zona Dorada --
the Golden Zone --
which is Mazatlan's
American Quarter,
a place I hardly
ever went. Besides
being a 25 minute
bus ride away, even
if along a beautiful
beach front
boulevard, the
prices were nearly
twice as much as in
the Historic Center.
And so why pay
more?
My photographer
moved just a few
feet to one side to
take this picture
towards the rising
hills of the Sierra
Madres. On clear
days you could see
the 9,000 foot
peaks silhouetted
against the blue sky.
