It is often asked "Why the United States is what it is today?" The answer
is quite simple, so simple that people refuse to believe it, and because
their own cultures are steeped in the wily ways of lies and corruption and
manipulation, they refuse to believe what is evident in front of them.
The USA isn't great because of our resources, nor our protection, in
the past, from invasion; Mexico and Brazil are in the a similar position yet
haven't achieved anything. It is a cultural thing. Even though the United
States has problems with race, etc., we recognize it as a problem, and are
working towards solving it through inclusion and peaceful ways, not by
exterminating the minorities. We are imperfect because we are human,
but we strive towards the best because we are American.
The goal for every country should be to be more like the US in peace,
wealth and reasonableness. And they would have less problems of the
sort they have. Look at our problems -- on which museum to spend more
money on, or where to build a new road. These other countries are
destroying themselves internally and externally as fast as they can.
America doesn't produce one quarter of the world's economic output
because we are great, or because we prevent economic development
elsewhere. It is because the rest of the world's governments are actively
attempting to prevent their own development. They have limited their
growth, which could have kept pace with the US -- since we all started out
with the same technological stage.
In the 1700's all the world was pretty much the same in terms of
wealth, technology, production, health and development. Life was pretty
much the same for everyone worldwide.
But in 1776 we adopted a better way of thinking about government
and it produced an economic miracle. The rest of the world went on with
its statist thinking, merely changing the names from King to Commissar or
Parliament or Mullah or Sultan. It was and still is the same -- the belief
that the state is paramount and the people should do what is for the Glory
of the State. Meanwhile, the US instituted private property, freedom of
religion and the press and limited weak government. We have been
showing the world ever since how to do it and for the most part the world
has refused to see what is in front of them.
People don't own the mineral rights around the world so when oil is
discovered it is confiscated by the government for the Glory of the People;
who then remain in poverty. Instead, the government gets the money
and as proven time and again, misuse it, lining the bank vaults of
secretive bank havens.
The US goes to war, and uses our military to protect the oil resources
of the globe to foster freedom -- and the rest of the world misuses that
protection and steals the wealth and then blames the US for their own
self-induced misery. The Europeans and the Japanese aid and abet the
craven despots around the world in lambasting the US with their drivel
about American cultural and economic imperialism. Meanwhile, we don't
care what you do -- but why do you slaughter each other as fast as you
can? Why do you steal and squander and repress and subjugate your
own people? Why are so many leaders hell-bent on preventing people
from being free, peaceful and prosperous? And why do those who should
know better, such as the Europeans and the Japanese, so despise America
for trying to right the wrongs of the world, and correct the problems.
Indeed, they aid and abet the subjugation of most of the people of the
world.
We can't figure it out, and that is perhaps the biggest problem with
Americans in the world today. We simply can't imagine why you would
want to slaughter and repress and impoverish when it is so easy to make
wealth and enjoy liberty. What would ever possess one group of
Europeans, namely the Serbs, to systematically slaughter and destroy
entire towns, cities and districts, and uproot millions of people and
destroy any hope of improvement for decades? And what would possess
the remainder of all Europe to sit idly by and do nothing as the horror
unfolded within a few hundred miles of their own homes? It was
astounding and yet is such a perfect example of the European adherence
to the divine right of the state to exist -- and thus all individuals are
expendable for the sanctity of peoplehood.
We welcome all who can escape, but we can't accept the whole world,
we must act to free up the rest of the world, even if we have to bring war
to do it.
American existentialists, liberals, leftists, and others, like to label
things in ways that convolute reasoning. It is irrelevant by what name or
label a government or leader puts on it himself, if they are repressing
people, and stealing the nation's wealth it is their actions which count, not
the name.
