Sarah Familiar
I play a mean ukulele, and write songs that are honest, human, and distinctly my own.
Born and raised in Arizona, I first started performing at age 16 after encouragement from my good friend Mandie Galvan of the Afterlife Party. I was embraced by the local folk-punk and DIY community and have shared the stage with incredible local acts including Andy Warpigs (always in our hearts), The Doyenne, Blood Feud Family Singer and He/then, and not-so-local faves like Chad Hates George & Stufy.
After a hiatus, I am BACK and thrilled to be reconnecting with local artists <3
"(Sarah Familiar) crafted something with the heart of a folk tune, the wit and edge of a punk anthem, and a true wellspring of emotion" - Chris Coplan, Phoenix New Times
